Settlement in Federal Sector EEO matter on behalf of a member of the intelligence community for approximately $200,000, including attorneys’ fees.

Smith v. Ray, 2:08-cv-281 (E.D.Va.): $75,000 settlement based on our client’s allegations of excessive force and police misconduct against an officer in the City of Virginia Beach Police Department.

Cotton v. Medical Learning Center, CL13001894 (Arlington Circuit Court): Jury verdict in the amount of $43,000 and separate attorneys’ fees award for willful violations of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act.

Settlement on behalf of employee of a national freight company who recovered more than $75,000 based upon allegations of sexual harassment.

Sykes v. Artrip, et al, 1:15-cv-00051 (W.D.Va): Settlement on behalf of former maximum security prisoner whose allegations included spending twenty hours in five-point restraints without food or bathroom breaks. Settlement included a statewide change in policy with respect to how five-point restraints are monitored in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Garland v. Fairfield Malvern Lakes LLC, 1:15-cv-1721 (E.D.Va): Opposed motion to dismiss on Plaintiff’s behalf, leading to opinion partially denying motion to dismiss by Defendant wherein the Court affirms that discrimination against trans people is illegal as sex discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Vallee v. Plympton, CL15-2434 (Arlington Circuit Court): Settlement based on our client’s allegations of defamation and computer fraud leading to entry of permanent injunction against Defendant.
